| It is with deep sadness I am sending the news that Leon Goolsby, KB1CQ, is a silent key as of December 16th. Leon loved to visit 7248 and was a regular voice for a long time on 3648 in the evenings. When I spoke with his wife Julia today, she told me how much he loved ham radio. He entered the hospital suffering from a bacterial infection last Thursday and passed away on Friday. He was cremated today and there will be no additional ceremonies per his wishes. Mrs. Goolsby welcomes cards and notes of sympathy in memory of Leon. Their address is: Mrs. Julia Goolsby and Family 24 Jackson Road Bloomfield, CT 06002 Don, KI4D |
